ReserveIQ

Welcome to ReserveIQ

Plan ahead. See the reserve pressure before it becomes a surprise.

Building a 10-year maintenance plan by hand means juggling replacement dates, rising costs and reserve balances across spreadsheets. ReserveIQ brings those moving parts into one guided model, helping trustees turn scheme records into a clearer maintenance and reserve-funding outlook.

Explore component costs and replacement timing, review the PMR 22(2)-informed estimate, then compare a forward-looking cashflow that highlights when major works could put pressure on reserves.

You can load a saved .mrmp file from the top menu at any time.

A guided route from records to plan

  1. 1

    Describe the scheme

Enter the building profile and key reserve-fund figures.

  2. 2

    Review maintenance items

Check component lifecycles, estimated costs and expected work years.

  3. 3

    Compare the estimates

Review the PMR 22(2)-informed component estimate alongside the 10-year cashflow outlook.

ReserveIQ supports trustee planning; estimates should be checked against current scheme records, professional advice and contractor quotations.

Trustee quick guide

Keep your scheme work safe and easy to continue

Save a scheme file

  1. Unlock the full report with a paid license or voucher, then select Save .mrmp at the top of the page.
  2. Choose a folder you can find again, such as your scheme’s shared records folder or Documents.
  3. Keep the file ending in .mrmp; do not edit it in a spreadsheet. Save a dated copy after important updates.

Load or print your work

  1. Select Load .mrmp in the top menu and choose the saved file. Loading is available in free preview.
  2. After payment is verified, download the paid scheme backup and receipt before closing the page.
  3. Use Download Trustee Planning PDF to get the server-generated report. The browser print command can still print the on-screen preview.

Session Recovery & Backups

  1. Restore via Backup File: The easiest way to save your work is to download the .mrmp backup file after unlocking a scheme. Uploading this file later will automatically restore all your inputs and instantly unlock the session.
  2. Restore via Code: If you lose your file, enter your original Voucher Code or Paystack Payment Reference into the unlock box to restore access, provided your scheme inputs match the original submission.

ReserveIQ does not keep a customer account or provide cloud file storage. Scheme data is stored in your browser; keep downloaded backups and receipts in a secure location accessible to the scheme.

How the levy options are calculated

All three options project the same 10-year cashflow. They differ only in how the annual levy is chosen. Changing an option, or the opening-reserve allocation method, never changes the licensed scheme and never requires a new payment.

1. Minimum Levy (default)

Regulation-compliant. Year-1 levy is the Regulation 2 floor. If that flat amount keeps the year-end balance at or above your minimum cash buffer in every year, it is held flat. If not, the levy escalates each year by the smallest rate that keeps the buffer, up to a 100% annual rate. If even that cannot hold the buffer, a flat levy above the floor is solved instead.

2. Minimum Buffer

No regulatory floor. Each year the levy is the least amount that keeps that year-end balance at or above the minimum cash buffer, so levies can fall below the Regulation 2 floor, even to zero, after peak works. This is a planning scenario and may not meet the regulation.

3. Custom Levy / Override

No regulatory floor. You set the Year-1 levy and an annual drift percentage. If no Year-1 levy is entered, it starts from the Minimum Buffer result. The model shows whether your chosen levies keep the buffer; it does not adjust them.

Set by regulation

  • The Regulation 2 floor is set by the reserve ratio (opening reserve ÷ prior-year admin levies, A₀). Below 25%: 15% of A₀. From 25% to below 100%: the greater of prior-year reserve spend and the PMR 22(2) annual schedule. At 100% or more: no floor.
  • The PMR 22(2)-informed component estimate: (estimated cost − opening-reserve allocation) ÷ remaining life.
  • Applied only in Minimum Levy. Minimum Buffer and Custom ignore the floor.

Set by ReserveIQ (planning assumptions)

  • The minimum cash buffer is your input and is checked at each year-end, not intra-year.
  • Escalation in Minimum Levy: solved by ReserveIQ, capped at 100% a year. The solver limit is R25,000,000 a year.
  • The opening-reserve allocation method (accrued wear or nearest-due waterfall), which changes the PMR 22(2) schedule and so the floor.
  • Benchmark costs, lifecycles, inflation, call-account interest and the simplified interest allowance and 27% tax rate. These are not tax advice.
  • The 10-year horizon, and interest on the average balance during the year.
